Join the KAWS demonstration against dog fighting on Monday 07 October at 10h00
A few months ago a group of people from KAWS and PAWS demonstrated against the light sentence handed down to Billy Marais who had been convicted on a charge of dog fighting in the Plett area. On Monday the court case starts against the other men involved who have pleaded not guilty.Our demo was featured on the front page of the KP Herald. For those who did not participate in the previous demonstration, we appeal to you to join us on Monday 7 October at 10am outside the Knysna magistrate court. We will be making a number of placards, but please also make your own. Here are some examples that we used in July: "Dog fighting is barbaric" "No to extreme animal cruelty" "No light sentences for these criminals".
