About CAIM

Caim is based in Cape Town, South Africa, acting as a central resource for all animal welfare matters nationwide.  Join our Facebook page or contact us here.  We'd  love to hear from you!

We were able to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home an abused dog, that we found while traveling in Namibia, from right here in Cape Town, through a network of people that were willing to help in whichever way they could.  The kindness of strangers inspired me to create a website where we could all share information in one place and get the help needed, where it is needed, quickly and effectively.  See the full story of Azzan's rescue here and follow his progress on our blog.

CAIM is all about helping YOU come up with ways to help the rescue organisations that dedicate their lives to rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing animals. We love it when we are able to share ways you can help with very little effort on your part because we know you are busy and not everyone has unlimited amounts of money they can offer to rescues and shelters. That is why we love to share things with you that allows you to go about your daily life and be making a difference at the same time.  If you visit out Wishlists page, you will find that there are many things needed that you may be able to donate, from tupperware to newspaper to second books.  There are ways to help.

Our main goal is to provide a central database of Rescue Organisations and to assist in the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of abused, neglected and lost animals of any kind.

Since the beginning of the year, we have made an effort to become more involved and assist animals in need where we can and when we can.  Our intention is to carry out projects at various shelters and to try and bring in the help needed for them to continue their amazing work.

You can follow our progress and see what we're working on by visiting our BLOG.  You can also sign up to receive updates and alerts delivered directly to your mailbox.  You can unsubscribe at any time, but we hope that you will stay posted about the work that's being done.

Please sign up and help spread the word of our current projects, rescue emergencies, homes needed and lost animals.
If every day someone can help (even in a small way), we can change the lives of those that need it the most and help those dedicated organisations already doing so much for animals across the country.

Please see our How you can help page if you are looking for ways to get involved.  You can also keep an eye on our blog and sign up for our email alerts.  There's much to be done; let's get started.

Please email us if you would like to list your organisation or if you would like to update your information.

I am only one, but still I am one.

I cannot do everything, but still I can do something;

and because I cannot do everything,

I will not refuse to do something that I can do.
