FAW Paving Project

In August 2015, we started our second project at FAW (Fisantekraal Animal Welfare) in Durbanville.

The area outside their clinic was in desperate need of upgrading as it became very muddy in the wet weather making it difficult to keep the area sanitary.  Dogs and people alike would come in covered in mud.

In 2013, we paved the area directly outside the facility and extended the roof to provide cover from the elements.  The area outside was originally stone chips which was problematic for hygiene and the roof only covered a small area.

Using builders from the local Fisantekraal community, work began on 29th August. The ground had to be cleared and leveled before any paving could be laid, and as it was a big area, the project had to be carried out over the next few weekends.
