Animal abuse :: What to do

Please contact your local SPCA if you suspect animal abuse or NAWTT (National Animal Welfare Task Team) to report dog fighting::

Cape Town - If you see a dog in distress call the AACL inspectorate emergency 24 hour hot-line on 073 404 2435. Should you see a dead animal call the 24-hour hot-line on 021 957 4700 and they will arrange removal.
Strays - Cape Town Please contact the Law Enforcement Animal Control Unit on 021 596 1999 to report free roaming strays. Alternatively, if the animal can be confined, please contact the SPCA on 021 700 4158 or 021 700 4159 (083 326 1604) to come and collect them. It would also be hugely appreciated if you could take them to your closest shelter if you can capture them yourself.
